Lauryn Campofredano
I am a licensed practical nurse. I am also a certified dementia practitioner. I am the Svayus Coordinator. My responsibilities are to over see the Svayus unit. I go through and assess each client to see what stage they are in their disease process. I put together an activity schedule based on the client’s abilities and deficits. I educate and train our staff to care for patients with Alzheimers and dementia. I monitor the client’s behaviors and work along side the nurses and medical providers to manage their care.
I started here at the lantern as a charge nurse on the Svayus unit. Dementia became my passion and I wanted to grow in this specialty. My client’s and their family members have become my family. My coworkers here at the Lantern have also became my family. I am blessed to have such a great team. Outside of working, my passion is my two children, my family, and my pets.
